Fourth of July

I had been trying to get Maddy to a parade for a while now and the 4th looked to be a great time!  Palatine's parade wasn't until the weekend so we decided to watch the Hoffman Estates Parade.  Her daycare was in the parade but I wasn't sure she would like that as much.  We got there just as it was started and squeezed in between a family and an older couple.  She was initially very scared, it started with about 20 local fire trucks, ambulances, and various LOUD emergency vehicles.  Overall she had a good time and started to be brave and run out to get the candy that was thrown!
